Admission Notification for 2014-2015

Form for Admission in 1st year of three year degree course under CALCUTTA UNIVERSITY will be issued and admission process will be conducted as per the following schedule, rules and procedures:-

Issue of Admission Form: - From 03.06.2014 (Tuesday) to 10.06.2014 (Tuesday) between 11:00a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Submission of duly filled-up admission Form:- From 03.06.2014 to 12.06.2014 between 11.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. along with attested copy of H.S. Mark-sheet, Madhyamik Admit Card and Cast Certificate if any.
Form and Prospectus will be issued on payment of Rs. 100.00 and on production of H.S. Mark-sheet.
Publication of Merit List of all applicants on 18.06.2014 (Wednesday) at 3.00 P.M. with 1st admission schedule.
Schedule of admission will be notified on 18.06.2014 along with merit list.
Admission will be granted in order of MERIT.
Admission Form may be purchased from college counter or downloaded from college website: www.sirgurudasmahavidyalaya.com.

Eligibility Criteria

1.	GENERAL COURSE: -	Passed in H.S. or its equivalent examination with English as one main subject of not less than 100 marks.
2.	HONOURS COURSE:-	50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject. OR 55% marks in the subject or related subject. OR 50% marks in aggregate for non-taught subject: only for B.A. (Hons.) course. OR For S.C. / S.T. candidate: - 40% marks in aggregate or in the subject. (Not applicable for physically handicapped, OBC-A and OBC-B candidates)
3.	MAJOR COURSE:-	For admission in B.Sc. (Major) in computer Application candidate has to secure a minimum of 45% mark in the aggregate (40% for S.C. and S.T.).

Note: - Aggregate percentage of marks will be counted on the basis of TOP 4 subjects excluding Environmental Studies
